I have a td8e IH dozer and was wondering if somebody could help me place the year and transmission type for it. The serial number off the machine says 902u3013.

I am offshore Jerry! I will give you a call when I get back in, we only have the Internet out here. I was just reading through the service manual on my torque converter and wanted to double check the year and transmission for my own records. 3013 would be 71-72 though correct?

Yes you have the early torque/transmission. Think you are right on the years. Pretty sure the torque is going to have to come out then see where we go from there..Been looking for a used torque, may be on to something.

Okay I thought that was the case on early transmission. That is good news on the torque converter! The only place I have found so far is broken tractor.com. Never used them or talked to anybody who has.
