|
|
I have a question for you all (especially you part guys):
The way I understand the Massey part system is that if a part number reads 123 456 M91 and I see a 123 458 M92 then it's the same part, just improved.
Or would Massey recycle a part number and add a M92 or M2 for a totally different item? Even though I feel like I know the answer and am second guessing myself, I'm asking because Parts Depot didn't have a part I want ending in the original (what my parts book lists) M91 but it did have same part number but ending in M92 when I did a wild card search.
Thanks,
Christos |

Hi Christos, You would be correct. And some parts
keep going up to M95 or more and should replace
the M91-M92 etc.If a part is M1 it is a one piece
part whereas M91 means that it is an assembly of
some kind even if a riveted part or whatever on
it, even a decal. Chuck |

I had good luck with "Agco parts book. com" showing several different parts numbers for the same item. I was trying to figure out a starter on a continental engine, and they showed 3 styles. Industrial, Ag., and Ag. propane. ( Not too sure on the third) Hope this helps. |
