Haven't seen them for about a year, but hear them quite often at night just out side the house. Guess they are keeping watch over us.

I believe so. The top one would be the male. He's been hanging around here off & on for a couple weeks now. The female just showed up with him today. They nest early, around the end of February, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them pairing up soon.
