I am looking to pickup a AG-6 that runs fine, just needs a fuel pump, for $1200. I am told it does not have steering clutches but uses the diff and brakes. I do not see any replacement brakes yet on the web? Are they not available anymore? I have also ready it does not make a good dozer, too high of gearing (1.78 mph in 1st), any truth to this? Some day I would like to put in a pond (1 acre, 5-8 ft deep), am I better off passing on this deal?

It is your money. They do not have steering clutches (at least your AG-6 does not)Material for the bands is available, what will kill a set of bands real quick is using the wrong oil in the rear end.It probably is the easiest Cletrac engine to get parts for. How big a blade? Interesting here is that all the ponds around here are over 20 feet deep.

Jeff,

I have an AG-6 with an HT-25 Heil 8 ft

trailbuilder , it will push that blade full.

This tractor has done many ponds and trench

silos. The last job I used it on was a 1.5

acre pond that had 10 ft stand pipe . Also

had 2 Case 1000's on the job 1 loader and

1 dozer with 10 ft blade. I still have all

of the tractors.
