There is an Oliver sickle mower on ebay. It's on the other side of the country from me, but was curious to know what size tractor would be correct for that mower.

Super 55, we had that same mower on our farm and we used on our 70 and 77. it could be used on any oliver with a standard oliver hitch that came on 70s, 66,77-880. chuck |

Thanks for the info. I have a Super 55 and one of the sales brochures shows a model 27 sickle bar mower. |

My Dad had one he bought new in 1954 and used on an 88. He later fabricated an adapter plate for the hitch and ran it behind his 1650. |

That's not a 3 point hitch mower- it bolts to the drawbar of the older tractors. You'd be much happier with a 3 point hitch mower, and I don't know if that one would even fit on a Super 55. Keep looking. |

thanks for the info. I only have a casual interest in a sickle mower. I was just curious, because a 27 is most likely the model I would be looking for. |
