Wanting to pull 6500-7500 running basic stock tractor with a few mods and weight racks 18.4.34 tires. Would a G moline or a 560 diesel Cockshutt be a better choice and any additional mods advice would be great.

I agree - a G Moline hands down. You will start off with a much bigger engine and more options for mods down the line. The 403 MM engine in the G has a 6 inch stroke which means it has good lugging power for stock type classes.

I have a 40 I go up to 6500 with and do respectable. If it was a 570 I'd say go with the Cockshutt, but not a 560.

Just depends.... how fast of a class are you pulling in? If you are ONLY going to pull 4mph, I'd go witht he 570 Cockshutt w/ a 3400 hercules engine. The Cockshutt will be a while lot easier to balance than a 6cyl minnie.

The MM 403 4cyl engine is tough to beat. It bores to 436. I have a cheap basically stock .060 over 403 making 100 ponies. Only real mod was the cam. I pull 5500# 4&5mph in a UB (not stock classes). It usually places but there's plenty of room to unlock more ponies. 85 is very reasonable. The G can balance ok in 6500 & 7500.

Not to knock a Cockshutt. A big Herc would be fun.

Cockshutt 40 would be fine if done right. We had one my dad built that was 316 ci and would run 18.4-38 tires in third gear in those classes. Would run 24.5-32 tires in 10000 pound class in 2nd
