My 2390 dies instantly when i fully depress the clutch and it builds up pressure so that it won't allow the motor to spin over freely. After about 5-10 mins, it spins over freely and cranks easily. Also when i do get it going if i put the powershift into 3rd, no mater what gear i have the 4 speed in, it chokes the motor down. I can pull it back into 2nd and it takes right back off. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,
It sounds like c-1 pilot spool is stuck.Remove the plug on c-1 and use a 10/24 screw and thread it in the spool then pull it out.Wash it out with brake clean or something equal. Clean spool, oil it and reinstall it make sure it moves smoothly.

What 2290 said.. When you get it freed up, change the tranny filters and if it's been a while, the oil also. Your system is probably geting contaminants past the filter bypasses and allowing crud to go straight to the powershift valve which has aluminum lands which allow metal particles to imbed easily.

If you change the oil, HYtran Ultra is the only acceptable oil IMHO.

As MEL stated use hytran oil only or you will be replacing brake plates, pto plates, rps(power shift) transmission plates in the future due to them separating..
