I came across this while browsing Craigslist and thought somebody might find it interesting. I don't know enough about these to know if its authentic and if its worth even remotely that much.

You'd think for that kind of money at least they'd throw a set of new front tires on it!

And put on a set of rear tires that are the correct size. And paint the generator and starter Gold like they're supposed to be. And.....

Black starters and generators really bug me. But I'm campaigning to get people to paint them right, LOL.

OK, Just joined up and loaded for bear. Just rebuilt the engine/inj. pump/generator and rewired Ford 871 SOS Gold Demonstrator.

I"m trying to confim if all original. Can anyone walk me through the process? Has gold paint all over but red coming thru on trans.

You are in the correct S/N range, however the S/N is on the transmission bell. Likely the transmission has been replaced at some time. Perhaps it was restamped with the original S/N. Perhaps not.
