Here are a few photos of my latest toy, to be out on the dirt track this year (stock for now). Couldn't pass it up for the price. The serial number is 4620, any ideas on the year this was made? I cant make sense of the serial number info on the tractordata website. Engine runs pretty good, has a slight miss that a ignition tune up & carb clean will take care of.

1948, 2,983-4,754. Dang, did somebody try to customize the grill with an ax? Those F226 sure run smooth. I had one in a 101 Senior.

Yes the grill has had a rough previous life. I will be looking for one of those in the near future. Anyone know if the cast engine bellypan is the same for a 44 as it is a 44-6? This one is cracked and I want to fix that and have a location on one from a 44.

Only a guess, but I would certainly think it would fit. I can't imagine producing a different casting for both engines.

I got serial number info. from Massey Tractor Data Book by Keith D. Oltrogge.
