Noticed my tachometer quit working the other day on a 1991 JD2955.
I pulled all the covers off the dash(sound guard) and checked all the fuses i could find. That would be the 3 on the relays and the strip under the instrument panel cover.
Could not find anything wrong.
What gives the sidnal to the tach? I |

Sensor in the front of the timing cover, output voltage can be checked but will have to look up the expected reading in Service Advisor. There is a multi plug connector at the bulkhead which can give connection truobles, and another connector behind the alternator. |
