1850 rear end gear removal pics ..help

need some input on getting the gear out that drives the bull gear, it is chipped.I pulled the axle housing and the bull gear out and removed the brake pieces and took out the 6 bolts inside the brake housing.I marked the shims on the brake housing so i know how they go back in, I have tried prying it out on the brake housing and it does'nt move , I think there is 2 dowels it slides on and it dont want to move..thanks

I hope you know there is a loose roller bearing in there that has 57 loose rollers. Now I need to think a little. It has been close to 40 years since I had one apart. do you have a manual?

are the roller bearings were the gear goes in the housing or in the end of the gear I'm trying to get out , more toward the center ? thanks

Don't know anything about it but it looks to me like you have to remove the ring gear assembly to be able to get that small gear in that housing out, if that is what you are after.

That last piece in the brake disk hole slides out. It has an big O ring on it, and a bunch of roller bearing that will drop all over the place. After you clean it up and get ready to put it together, us a stiff grease and pack all those loose bearing back in. Also clean the hole where the O ring slides in. That's why it's hard to slide out now, it's dirty.
Also make sure you grease the big O rings before you put it back together.
