I just had a new engine installed in my 555c. I am having electrical issues with draw down on the battery, the tachometer has now quit and am looking for a used one. A new one cost around 717.00 and I am not going to pay that much for it. |

Is yours cable operated or is it electric, the electric tacho usually gets its info from the alternator,if the alternator has an issue the tacho will not work,if the battery is been drained the alternator could be faulty, remove the battery ground cable, switch everything off, connect a test lamp between the ground cable and the battery post,if the lamp lights there is a draw, take the main cable off the alternator and check again with the test lamp,if it does not light the alternator has an issue,if it does light the trouble is elsewhere and will have to be found.
