|

I bought a new gas cap from here and when the sun came out the bottom of the tank leaked gas out of a small hole next to the tank outlet valve. I opened the cap and it spewed under pressure. Tank didn't leak when the cap was off.
I assume the cap was not vented properly or not for my model.
What is that little hole for? Am I in for a tank repair? |

Looks like your in for a tank repair. I have a spare tank out of a 600 series and just went out to look at it closely. No holes or machining anywere around the tank shut off valve. Only a 3/8" pipe plug near the front of tank for draining. |
