|

Hi all. I've been planning on doing this for a long time, and I finally got around to actually doing it. I've been compiling information on Ford tractor model codes and I've finally put it all in one document. A very big thanks to Mark Buck for sending me a copy of his document that he got from a Ford mechanic that had a lot of this information. I created it as a PDF, but I didn't have anywhere to post it, so I converted each page to a JPG file and put it on my photobucket site, as photobucket apparently doesn't allow you to share PDF files. This is still a work in progress. It covers Ford tractors from the 9N starting in 1929 through 1990, as that is where the document that I got from Mark ended. There were a number of mistakes that I knew were incorrect in the various pieces of information, and I've corrected the mistakes that I knew about, like it originally said that a D10 model code was a 4000 made from 1960-1964 with a 172 ci engine, when it's really a 1968-1975 4000 with a 201 ci engine, and that D14 was the all purpose ag chassis version of the 1968-1975 4000 when it is really the 4000SU. I knew that these were wrong because I'm familiar with those models, but there may be other mistakes in there, especially on models that I'm not that familiar with. Please feel free to contact me with any corrections or additions that you would like me to make, especially models newer than 1990. I will try to keep the files on photobucket current with the latest information that I have received from everyone, so if you download these, make sure that you check back for newer versions in the future. Here's the links to the files:
EDIT: NEW WEB SITE CREATED HERE THAT CONTAINS THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT AS A PDF:

Nice job Sean! I'm glad the info I sent was of some help to you. I knew there were some mistakes but there was also a lot of good info. I have some hand written notes at work and when I get a chance I will compare them with your chart.
Thank You
Mark |

Yes, I go by that handle on some other sites. My wife and I came up with that name one day after we had spent several hours working around our property, cutting up downed trees and moving dirt and mulch, and other similar stuff, and afterwards we were sitting on our back porch drinking cosmopolitans and laughing about how "redneck" were were in some aspects, and yet we are into some more sophisticated things like "nouveau cuisine" and somehow we came up with "Nouvuea Rednecks". |

For those of like me that don't re-read the older posts in a thread. I've created a new web site to host this document. It is there as a PDF with some minor changes fromt he original image files that posted on photobucket earlier.
