Has anyone seen the schedule for this years show? No tracctor show. Why? Because last year the show was going to be outside a person on this forum called for a boycott of the show. He called for no one to bring tractors. He said "what would happen if no one showed up?" Well this is what happened, They canceled the show and discontinued
any in the future. There are not enough shows in the Denver areas promoting antque tractors. Just because some felt they couldn't bear being outside they spoil it for a great number of poeple. What stupid poeple can do. |

Thank you for replying. We did get to see the antique tractors in the parade and a special thank you to those who took the time and trouble to bring them. The smiles and cheers of the crowd as they went by tell it like it is: this is an exhibit that adds to the National Western Stock Show. Hope to see the exhibit INSIDE next year. |

I recall the whole idiotic discussion. I looked back to see what my take was on it. At the time, I posted "Perhaps next year they will rent your space to paying exhibitors." Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. |

Martin the show never was that much into tractors and such. It is what the name says " Stock Show". Why would you expect there to be a good antique tractor show there???
I used to have registered Hereford cattle. We went about every other year. I do not remember there being antique tractors there?
Plus who in their right mind is going to walk around in late January outside to look at tractors. I from a cold state and I would not spend my time looking at them outside.
Plus guys I hate to really burst your bubble but most of the tractors shown are not that rare. So how is that going to compete with livestock that very well maybe the best in the world???
I go to stock shows to look at livestock. I go to old equipment shows to look at old tractors.
Just my thoughts. I am not sure that either decision will make much difference. The stock show is going to have world class cattle and horses there. That is the important thing. |

I don't think you know any thing about the tractor show. You show a picture of the parade. How dose that elate to the tractor show? I dont know of the shows that were out in the open that you would are aware of. The first shows were out in the yards. The last show they had was a big showing and the shows were getting bigger. As crowed as that building what would have happened in the case of fire? They had no place to hold a larger show but outside. To show yuo if I know about show, well at one time we were hoping to have a tractor pull to go along with to show. You did a very stupid thing to call for a boycott that's what I think |

Well, you show you haven't been to the Stock Show for quite a few years. There has been tractor shows there foe several years. Many poeple walked around in the cold to admire them. Just like cattle the poeple from the cities enjoyed viewing the tractors. It took a lot of work to even get the first show. I'ts a shame others have to step in and distroy it. |
