Gentlemen:
While installing a new exhaust/intake manifold today to replace the broken one on my '52 8n, I noticed two removeable covers attached to the block. What would I gain access to behind those covers? Only a single bolt secured them. Wanted so bad to look, but also wanted to enjoy a nice ride after installing the manifold/muffler.

If you take them off you will need new gaskets!
