Pretty sure it was black. I know that the NAA owners manual I have shows the seat on it to be black and the 601/801 manual I have is only a black and whit picture on the cover so that is no help but my 841 seat is black |

I think they were all black from at least the 8N thru the 01 series weren't they? |

I can not agree or disagree with you on that but I know the seat I pulled off a 2N was gray but yes I know you said 8N so could well be. Just goes to the fact you and I believe the same thing on this one |

My 1961 841 is still original and its black. |
