I wanted to post these pics of a restoration of a 1953 wd45. It will be finished this week and still working out the bugs getting it turned over. But I did want you enthusiasts to know that I did not restore it. I am a high school Ag Teacher and am teaching a Tractor Restoration Course. This tractor was completed by 12 high school students with my instruction. This is the first time I have worked on an Allis so that is why I am using the forum as a tool for questions. The tires were donated by Titan Tire. They sponsor school projects and FFA members doing restorations. I figured you " die hards" would appreciate a new generation learning about these tractors and I do have a few that are going to start their own restoration after this semester. We will raffle the tractor off this spring and the proceeds will go into next year's tractor- a 1947 Farmall H.

I’ve heard of restorations that went completely upside down and until now never seen one.

Very nice looking piece of work. I wish I had had a course like this (or welding, as well) in high school. I'm trying to just do simple work on my own WD and struggling through it. Good on you!

I have a WD setting in my shop for 8 month. If I could stick it to the ceiling. Could use the shop area for other things. Didn't think the 45's come out new with silver on front wheels.
