Have a 460 with a bad engine do you know of any combine engine would fit. What is comparable to this. I know a 303 combine engine would be the closest but does anyone know if anything else would work?

It has to be a later model 303 combine. The earlier ones used the BD220 engine. The 315 combine also used the C221 engine.

In addition to the other engines listed in the other post there is also a C282, C291 and a C301 that use the same style block.

Just FYI, the diesel options listed will require parts from a 460 diesel to mount the engine in the frame rails. Tough tractors to find parts for if you ask me.

What is bad on the engine? Rebuilding is not that hard.

I got about $3700 in a D-236 and I don't have the head on yet... Is that a bad one?

He didn't say whether it was diesel or gas. Diesels can add up alot faster.

Thanks for the information. The engine spun a bearing. It was in tough shape when I bought it. The 460 is a gas engine not diesel.
