Does any one have the maker and model for the add-on generator for the Regular? The standard Delco Farmall generator does not seem to mount up. |

No, the one that mounts on the frame rail, and is driven from a pulley that mounts on the crankshaft. |

The ones I've seen with the cast brackets have had what looks just like H or M generators. I can't recall the name of the company that cast them. I know its not heisler, theirs mounted on the head above #1 spark plug and did use the IH generator. |

This is the type of generator I am looking for. I believe the mount brackets are made by a company called Monteith Brothers, or something like that.

John, From what I see in your picture looks like the bracket is bent? Is that what you are saying it does not line up on the rail? oldiron29 |

That's just the angle of the photo. I grabbed this photo off the web. I have several more, but no info on the generator. On my bracket, the distance from the pivot bolt to the adjusting bolt on the generator don't match up with my M generators.

John, I'd guess they used a popular automobile
generator. The catalog picture looks like Delco but
this pic looks more Autolite |

John, I see now. Could you make a little adapter plate to mount your M generator for now till you can find the correct unit. oldiron29 |

Those were sold through Sears and Roebuck years ago and the generator is not exactly like the delco used on the Farmall H&M tractors. Like Cowman said it is probably more common of a auto generator. |

Ron, I have heard that an Autolite was used, but don't know what model/year. I don't want to go buying up a bunch of old generators and end up with a bunch that don't fit. I guess I could buy tractors or cars to fit the generator.
OldIron29, I don't have it mounted yet. I have the brackets, and an F-20 with a V-groove pulley welded after the clutch housing. I am thinking of mating the two to make something nice. The PO had some form of steel strap welded to the frame rail. Looked like crap, and is now all rusted away. Using the bracket will make it look A LOT nicer. I do have a set of old 8" or 10" lights I plan to mount to look original'ish. |

Those cast brackets look just like the ones I took off a parts tractor this past week. The generator has no markings on it, so can"t help you out there. |

John, I have a 39" F-20 that I fabed and altered and H bracket and mounted it like on an H over #1 plug welded a pully to the fan pully I think it is a clean look for a late model F-20. I willhave to see if I can find the pictures. oldiron29 |
