I have this wide front on a 730, it's not the same as the wide front
on the 730 I just bought, I have been told it is for a 400, and I
would like to know. Thanks Mike

The 1st 400's used that tie rod set up. Personally, I think it was better than the later, more complicated set up. |

Do you want to trade tie rods and steering arms? I have a 400 and am looking for that tie rod arrangement and have an 830 front axle now. |

Some one may have changed from the four bolt cast centers to a later style 6 bolt to make tire repair easier. I've heard the spindles are the same. |

I bought a better 730, so at some point I will probably part out this one, I bought it as a fixer upper but it was worse than I thought, and I think I can sell it for more as parts than as a whole tractor(at least get a fair chunk of my money back out of it). Right now the corn planter and bean planter are on the to do list. That and get taxes done, ugh. Mike |
