Any of you ever hear of a Dearborn Backhoe? Currently mounted on the back of an 8N, the gentleman said it was a Dearborn unit. Did they ever make a backhoe for the N series and if so how rare? |

Never heard of one made by Ford/Dearborn for the 8N. Sherman did though. Since Ford and Sherman had business ties, maybe the owner just assumes it was a Dearborn. |

While working in Northern Nevada a couple of years ago I kept driving past a small backhoe in front of a house close to the freeway. Decided to look at it. It was a Sherman and had been on an N Ford. The guy said it had been for sale for awhile. I didn't have any way to haul it and decided to see if I could borrow a trailer before I committing to buying it. Well, You guessed it, it sold for $100 the day after I looked at it. My mechanic at work had told me that he would replace all the hoses for me. Didn't bother me much. That kind of thing happens to me all the time. |

I have never heard of or seen a Dearborn hoe but have seen many others. I have a Scout back hoe on an 8N and I also have pits and pieces of a Sherman and I think Kelly made one that fit also |

Saw a Sherman on a 2n at a sale about a year ago. It also had a front loader. Looked like way more work than I wanted to do, it had been sitting for many years. |
