Just saw a full set of weights w/complete box & lid for $1000 on Des Moines craigslist. Usual disclaimer - don't know who it is.

Not a bad deal. I expect that it will not last long.

Looks like a nice set and i would like to find one for my 950 but I just won't pay that kind of money. You would think with the economy the way it is and tractor prices way down that implements and attachments would be way down too but not so. It's easier to get good money for implements that it is for a good tractor. |

I have been thinking of painting mine red like that one. I would paint the segmented wheel weight and the front box both red on my 901, I think that they would set it off pretty well. |

If a person is really after this style, $1,000 is likely a fair price. The one at auction last weekend brought $1,600.
Dave Hobbs or anyone else in the area, if $$ is an issue, I would give $200 for a single weight, so you could get the set (minus one) for $800.00. Then mine would be complete . If I was closer (or single) I would just drive up and buy them and then ebay the box + 5 weights for the same $$.

Chris,
A friend of mine took me by an old Ford Tractor dealership a while back. I bought the Nuday tool that holds the lift arms in position for adjusting the 3PH linkage on the NAA (it doesn"t work on the X00/X01 tractors) there. There was a big pile of weights outside the shop and I dug through the entire pile looking for one of those weights you need but there wasn"t one in there. I know you need one and I"m always looking.
BTW: I waved at you yesterday as I flew over StJo on my way from DFW to DSM.

I KNOW!! Didn't you see me waving back??
In all seriousness, I might have seen your Jet trail, as I was outside completing a soils test in the afternoon. Very nice day for mid January.

Hey DaveH,
Hope all is well with you, I chatted with forddoc on the phone today. In all seriousness, $1,000 dollars close to home is going to be hard to beat. Keep the weights and whichever box you prefer and sell the other box for $400-$500 and you are there .

Chris,
Surely not interested in that. To be blessed with a beautiful, loving wife and mother of my two near perfect boys is about as good as it gets.

Dave
I am interested in buying a empty weight box if you decide to sell yours.
Thanks,

What's an empty box worth? Wouldn't mind having one on mine. |

I gotta agree with you here... but what ya do is
find a babysitter, and make it an over-night getaway
for the two of you. That's my plan, anyway. |
