My park doesn't function on my 1964 3020 gas. Does the tractor have to be split to repair?

No, Most of the time it"s in the cable or the spring latch on the side of the transmission, look that all over as some one cycles the shifter to get a better idea of what"s not happening..If it does have a broken pawl, it can be repaired by removing the rockshaft.
