I was visiting my local engineer yesterday afternoon with a starter motor, he lives on top of a hill. Just thought I would take a few pictures showing the winter landscape.

Nice! We went to the Irish Christmas in America concert that was touring the US in November and December. They showed a lot of slides in the background on stage during the whole concert. Some looked a lot like those.

Nice Bill, But we still have no snow in my part of Northern Ireland, Although a man called this morning for some tractor parts from only 25 miles away and he had at least 3 inches of white stuff on top of his pick-up!

Just want to thank you and Sam both, and any others for that matter, for sharing with us on this US website.
Your pictures, information, and conversation are always interesting.

Hi Bob
You are most welcome, its always nice to develop friendships with new people. As you know I have visited Canada and the USA a number of times now and we always try to meet people through staying at B&B or from links to tractor people. Over the years we have spent time with B&B people who have been so good with their time that this has now become part of out vacation. We often spend days together with these folk going to local places of interest or shows which we wouldnt otherwise know about.
Again you will know that a large part of my tractor collection features big US diesel tractors
of which there are very few in my part of the country.
When I attend local shows here in Scotland with my Massey models they are normally the only ones of there type in attendance. Of course this means that spares and advice about them can only be gathered from you guys. This site always offers good advice and help from everyone which I really apprciate. An example of which was when I visited Pete"s place a couple of years ago while visiting ND, he was very helpful and we spent a very pleasent couple of hours talking tractors.

Thanks, I am surprised that those wind generators will work on such flat land.

Bill, I am Massey Ferguson through and through, no Blue blood in my veins! I have quite a number of (my favourite) '100 series' including some French built models. As far as American tractors go I have two Ferguson F-40s, a NF and a hi-crop .I have recently added a Hi-crop Super 90 to my collection, but it is still in England.
By the way, quite a number of 'our' guys are farming up your way, Wes Totten has quite a big interest in Yankee stuff. My uncle farms at Strichen, Mormon Hill area....Is that near you?

Hi Sam
Mormon hill is just behind me say about 12 miles away, one of my relatives a guy like called William Thomson (same as myself)used to stay in the village until he passed away a couple of years ago at an age of about 102.
Yes I know Wes, he stays about 15 miles away, we often have a chat at local shows, I think he likes my big V8 Massey's

Thanks for the photos, Bill. I always enjoy seeing pictures of other places. The third photo and the last one would be good candidates for calendar pictures.
