My transfer pump is leaking diesel fuel into the main pump. Does anyone have the number for the seal between the two pumps? Where would I be able to get one? |

I have the same problem with mine. IF your transfer pump has never been worked on, it has packing in it, not a real seal. You can buy rebuilt pumps from Central Fuel in Iowa with the seals in them ( which they claim they make) or you can send your pump to them and they will rebuild it. The pump shaft can wear out also (so I'm told) so that could need a replacement also. |

Try googling Joe's Tractor Parts. So far, he has had everything I need. If he doesn't have it, he could probably tell you where to try. LOL. |

I bought one last year for a 400D. Not hard there's a certain sequence to taking the lift pump apart as the pump gears have woodruff keys in them. The seal is just two seals pressed into a sleeve.
The hard part is if the pump gaskets get damaged while taking it apart as they set the end clearance on the pump and scavenge end and the clearance is pretty tight. I ended up making some and replacing the pump bushings. I made the bushings on the lathe. |
