Does anyone know if you can replace the oil bath air breather on a 830 with a dry type air breather from a 1030 and it still fit under the hood in front of the radiator?

Thanks,
Dan B

I don't think it would fit. The front bolster and grill screens for a 1030 are longer. I've thought about checking to see if it would work by replacing the complete bolster, nose cone and screens but never have.

Thanks! That is exactly the info I was looking for. My 830 is similar to yours except it is a case o matic and it has a m&w turbo on it which is why I would like the dry type filter. I also like the steps you have on yours. I assume they came from a 1030 or 930 also? Did they bolt right up?
