I owned a B450 years ago and did the British built M use the same motor and have a 3pt hitch as the B450? That B450 was a powerfull tractor but hard to start. It used a lot less fuel than my American SMD pulling the same load. |

Hi Larry, the British built M with a diesel engine was known as the Super BMD, same engine as a B450 but with a mechanicaly governed inj pump instead of the pnumatic goveners on the B450. All UK built Farmall M were offerd with a 3 point lift from when production started at Doncaster in 1949. The system used the belly pump and Liftall rams working linkage to a rear rockshaft connecting to Cat 2 lift arms. Hope that helps. MJ |
