I have a 1956 TO 35 that has never been painted and you can see that it was gray with beige sheet metal. My question is: did the factory ever produce them with green tractor with beige sheet metal? To my eye that is the best combination and would probably use that combo if I ever painted it.
I know this has probably been discussed many times on here but I am just curious.
Thanks, Garry |

Just saw the post down below and that answered it pretty good. Sounds like 1956 was a year of change. Will get the serial number off mine. It does not have live pto but I sure wish it did. It was a 'barn find'. |

Garry,
Look down a few post and you will see a copy of my owners
manual that I posted.
I have a 1957 to 35, but the manual that came with my
tractor new is dated 1956 and the tractor on the front cover
of the manual is beige and green. |

Maxwell I have a 1955 & 1956 Manual just like yours and the front cover is the exact same picture on both of them and I have always thought they looked like Grey and Green, but as long as they are not in color I suppose they could look like what ever anybody wants them to be. LOL |

hard to tell in the picture but this tractor sheet metal looks beige to me when you have the booklet in hand.
note the color of the metal name plate they are green background with chrome letters. but the tractor sheet metal appears to beige and body appears to be green.
booklet dated 1956
but really does not matter, the new ones are red, my buddy just bought a new massey ferguson 40hp with a front end loader.
sweet tractor and good heavy front axle, 4x4.
nice.

Maxwell I know you are right about one thing "it doesn't matter now", any of these tractors can be painted what ever the owner wants. Talking to my paint dealer one day he mentioned that Bamboo Beige is the same as a 1958 (or maybe he said 1960) Porsche automobile. I told him to sell it to me for a Ferguson as it should be cheaper, he laughed. |
