Does anyone have a current PTO seal number for at Super 55 and 550? Both of mine are leaking. I know I can get them from Korves but I'd like to get them this week locally if possible. The bearing place I have to deal with isn't the greatest when it comes to help. If I can give them a current number they do OK. |

Chief,
Are you sure it's the shaft seal?
There is also an O-Ring on the shaft that goes to the out put receptacle.
( the shaft that runs from the clutch to the rear.
You have to pull the whole mess and replace the roll pin with an OEM spring type roll pin.
If not you will be pulling it again |

Well I'm not positive it is the seal. It is leaking 90wt out the back. Doesn't it have to get past the seal to do that? |

My Oliver 550 parts book shows E-1582. Mine was leaking slightly a few years back, I replaced the seal only and it hasn't leaked since. It was an easy job. Good Luck. |

Have you serviced the transmission breather? It is to the RH side and rear of the seat. Every one that I have looked at is packed full of dirt causing pressure build up in the trans. pushing oil out the PTO seal. It corrected my leaker. |

It can also get out the O ring
If it's the O ring it leaks out where the PTO Pig goes into.
If its the seal leaks out of the outside of the seal |
