Yes, however, remember you did it because some parts are different between the 400 and 830 steering gear box and I forgot, so I ended up buying extra seals and O-rings! Aside from the gear box they are identical. |

No, they look the same and work the same however the center steering shaft in an 830 is larger than a 400. I have an 830 front end complete on my 400 diesel and I went to rebuild steering gearbox and I bought 400 parts not realizing that the shaft was a different size. Just food for thought should you ever have to do work on the steering gearbox to make sure you look at the 830 parts book for parts. |
