can the four bolts be taken out to remove the unit that engages and disconnects the clutch or is there more to it. what I want to do is take it off so I can somehow take the slop out of the pulley brake. It is so worn it hangs at an angle. |

Those can get VERY worn. But remember the pulley brake arm never did fit really tight to the shaft. Most also need the shaft built up and the housing rebushed too. |

I took some brass shim stock and rolled it up to fix mine.I put a new clutch lever bolt in and replaced the 2 clutch rod pins with oversized ones.I had so much slop in mine it wasnt funny. It sure made a world of difference after fixing it. |

There is a gentleman in the midwest that has a jig for those clutch pieces and will bore and bush them to as good as new. I sent him 2 and they came back in great shape. I think his name was Mike, but can't remember exactly where he was. I found his name here on ytmag. A little searching and you should be able to find it. |
