I've had a couple of people tell me that Deere made styled Gs before the GM with a 4 speed in it just like the US Gs. Is this true? How many of them were possibly made?
Thanks |

No, they would be GM's. Starting at SN 13000. There were G's that looked like GM's. They had pan seats. At 26000 they put battery boxes on them. |

Yes, the styled tractors ordered on steel did not have 5th and 6th gear installed. The shift quadrant had the 5-6 spot but nothing was there when moved the lever up there-so it was not just like the unstyled tractors in that regard.
I have one in the shed, '42 hand start on steel that has never been updated and was shipped that way. |
