|
|
Hi, I have a question. I have a IH Farmall 140 which I am repairing. I have taken the distributor cap off, but I can't remove the rotar. I pull on it quite hard, but it feels like there is a clip holding it on behind it. Is this true or does it need oil? How Do I remove the rotar? Is there a diagram? |

There is nothing special holding the rotor on. Just pull harder. Sometimes they stick if they've been on there a long time.
NO OIL. |

You don't need oil on a rotor. I wouldn't pull it unless it's damaged. Hal |

The rotor shaft is hollow with an oil wick in the center. It should get a drop of oil once in a while. Since your rotor is firmly stuck, your wick probably has't had any oil lately. |
