Starting to learn autocad in my engineering graphics class. I was messing around this afternoon here is a picture of what I ended up with. I drew everything out by hand, no text. I'm also in intro. to manufacturing processes (woodshop) and we're doing a little laser engraving and was hoping I could use this pattern for the machine instead of what everyone else will have "ohio university".

No doubt it will work. Laser engrave the letters on self stick paper. Vinyl sign material, and plastic sheet. Make the letter loops and strokes all the same width to look good. If you adjust the laser to cut the plastic but leave the paper very thin (experiment) you can make neat transfers. and stencils. Jim

Nice work, now make me a 3'x3' metal IH sign for my shop. Laughing I am looking for something with a vintage dealer look.

Your Farmall is much cleaner. Using a logo from the net, import it into a graphics program like Corel Photo Paint or Photo shop. Then clean that image to look crisp then put it into Corel Draw or Illustrator and outline it. Then use that vector graphic to print with the laser. Best of luck and I appreciate your efforts! Jim

Interesting to see the logo on Auto CAD.What are you majoring in? I am also taking auto cad classes at a technical college, you are a little further along. I have hopefully enough classes in the group to get a certificate. My current job is ending in May as an HVAC instructor due to low enrollement and want to expand my skill set. AutoCad, Solidworks,Sketchup and print reading are the classes. It has been long hours teaching and learning but will hopefully get a good job next May through all the work. I hope your classes go well.
