I am overhauling a 69 4020 diesel and the tach has 9000 hrs and the needle is about to take the trip. Went to Deere and looked at the one they offer and its not even close to original. I see steiner has one that looks correct my question is are they quality that will last? Plan on continuing to use this tractor for several years.
Thanks
Adam |

We put one in our 4520 2 years ago from Steiner and so far so good.Deere tach's are not so great, and they look terrible. We put one in our 4020 and the needle fell off at less than 100 hours. It was over 30 days old but my dealer replaced it because we buy alot of parts from them.Second one quit at less then 1000 hours.I have some other newer Deere tach's that have lasted very well.Steiner parts seem to be very good quality. |
