I finally got back to work on the 300 today since the high temp finally got all the way back up to 17. While putting the IPTO back in I broke a piece out of the O ring looking thing that seals between the outside of the housing and the rear end case. I am not 100% sure that it is an O ring, but that is my best guess. It is about 6 inches in diameter at a guess. I have been searching for a new one online and have not been able to come up with anything. If anyone knows where I can get one or how to cross reference it to a part number or a proper name for what it is so that I could get it from a generic supplier I would appreciate any information. Thank you very much.

Seal ring 384398R1 that is sold by dealers is not round all the way around. Cost 13 dollars and change at some, shipping on that if needed.
Used to get round ones from a industrial rubber supplier near me that would work. That business is gone like a lot of others now. Probably wouldn't be much cheeper than the dealer by now if they were.
Zach, just checked Messicks and they say $13.48.

Thanks a lot, I should have thought to check messicks. Thanks a lot for the parts and advice. I put the new countershaft gear and ring gear in today and will be meshing the new ring gear tomorrow, I think.

If you have the dimensions, try Graingers. Joe's farmall MAY have it.
