Ove 40 years ago my father-in-law pulled his 3010 out from under a one row cotton picker for the season and never used it again. Regrettably he was killed in a tractor accident 6 years ago and I hate to scrap this thing if anyone is interested in a restoration. While I realize this is a long shot finding someone interested in this, I think I have all the parts I know of that were needed to make this thing work again. Wondering if y"all know of anyone interested before I put it to the torch. thanks, John |

Move your post over to the John Deere forum.Do not get in a hurry to cut it up as I am sure someone will be interested.Maybe list your location as well.A cotton picker with all the brackets is a rare find,if no one here is interested try Ebay or list in Green magazine. A piece of history like that should be saved. |

Place an ad in the free classified ads at the top LH corner of this page. I'll bet someone other than a "Chinaman" will be interested in the corn snapper. |

SORRY it's my mistake as you explained it very well. If you'll post the model # I'll try to help you as JD had several different 1 row cotton picker models to choose from.
BTW I won't hold it against you just because I have an EX son in law that came from S. Carolina

Probably a "22" or "122"; the difference iirc was that one had a 12 bar front drum and the other had a 16 bar. My dad bought a new 3010 w/a 122 picker in '63; he ran the combine and I ran the picker; used it 'til '68 when we bought a new 2-row "699". |
