Hello MH guys,
I am looking for help to reinstall an APE injection pump on a Massey Harris 55.
When I dismantle the engine for overhauling, I haven’t discovered that the flywheel is dramatically rusted, thanks to a bird that find a home in the flywheel housing.
So now I have no marks on the flywheel.
There is a something like a timing mark on the APE pump pinion. After removal of the pump cover, this mark sounds like the beginning of the injection for the cylinder 1.
When I reassembled the engine, I have made a mark on the front pulley that show exactly where first cylinder TDC is.
So, my question is how to reassemble the pump, or how many degrees of advance between TDC and the APE pump mark?
Thanks a lot!

Thank you!
I have a Jensales book for a 55PSB, and it says 22BTDC. It is normal to have 10 degrees of difference between the 2 injection system?
Thanks, |
