Looking for what I would call the "toeque screw"
on the inj pump of a farmall 1066. Got the fuel screw
backed out, but would like to get it to turn on a
little quicker and hold upper RPM a little better. |

If the fuel stop plate is already set for max fuel the torque screw will not be holding fuel back anyway. It is the 3/8 head screw threaded into governor arm, back it out 2 or 3 turns, or remove completely. In stock setting it is used to cut fuel back at about 1500 RPM to prevent engine low speed overload. |

Ok. Is there any simple adjustment to improve governor response and bring on the fuel quicker at the top end? |

Back off the locknut on the control arm/rod assembly. This is used to help prevent surging. May help if not already done. Any quicker requires some parts change. |
