Drove over to John's place yesterday to pick up a starter tank for my 39 M. The tank was exactly as described. John showed me his collection and we had a real nice visit. People like him make this hobby very enjoyable. It was a pleasure to do business with a gentleman like him! Thanks again John!

John isn't a JD guy is he? I picked up a JD 290 planter from a guy in Custer park, IL last spring. Where are you from? I have family in Cissna Park, IL.

Yes, John is a John Deere man but has other colors too. Has a very nice collection of two cylinder Deeres. I live about 65 miles northwest of John. About fifteen miles from Ottawa.

Wow, you've got a decent trip north to go to the shop.

Is everything still going fine?

Did he have an old barn across the road from his house and machine shed? Have some nice old JD crawlers? If so it must have been the same guy. He was really nice. I offered $50 for the parts I needed and left with a complete planter for that much.
