My father-in-law tells of when his dad ordered a new tractor and picker. During the war years machinery was hard to get. The picker came before harvest; the tractor didn't. All fall they picked corn by hand using horses and had to pull each wagon load by the new picker on the way to the crib. Not very happy! Arvin
