Our 5000 has been setting around for the past year started it up today and the lift arms won"t lower also the pto won"t shut off this is an existing issue any help will be appreciated |

just curious, what tranny? 8spd? sos? DP?
also.. on the pto.
with the selector in the off position.. can you use a piece of lumber pressed agains the shaft to slow and stop it.. or is it staying powered?
if it stops.. it may be a worn brake and fluid coupling. if it is powered.. could be warped discs in the clutch pack.
does that machine have aux hyds? do they work? |

Can stop pto with 2x4...8 speed trans...came out with only one hyd outlet we put duel outlets on it . Outlet pressure is 2100 psi pto pressure is about 75 psi when on nothing when off |

ok.. so the pto is a brake issue.
and you have hyds because the remotes work.
sounds like lift goes up but not down.. have you messed with the asc any? |

Hate to sound dum. what do you mean by asc? Lift is up i jolted it with a sledge hammer hopeing it would free up but nothing thanks |

Bought a 5000 with the identical problem, Lift arms would not go down. I ended up pulling the top cover and rebuilding. bought kit on this site 30 bucks. works fine now |
