does any one on this forum know where I could find rear wheel seals for an old sears tractor.
I think it is a ss16 circa 1973. someone in the past decided it should be painted black, so there is no means of I.D. it has a 16 hp Briggs engine.
thanks in advance,

I buy a lot of parts from NAPA:
If you can get the old seal off without messing it up, they should be able to match it up.
A lot of new seals aren't as thick as the old ones, in that regard I usually put two in place of one.
Hope this helps you out.
I have several Surburbans and buy and sell them. |

When I get into a situation like that, I usually pull the seal off and run over to an auto parts store. In most cases, they can measure it and get you an equivalent.
