Friend dropped off a Dayton forward/reversing switch like used on electric motors etc. Well this one is set up with 2 wires with battery terminal ends on one set of wires and the other set going to jump cable size wires. It also appear to have been mounted to some thing like a bench etc with a pair of screws an the screws show signs of being in wood. Any body got any ideas?? Plus now that I have it I guess I need to figure out something to do with it

It is a simple motor control type switch like used on say a lathe etc. Forward reverse and a neutral or off. We us to use them on conveyer belts etc. But what is odd is it is set up for a battery instead of the 115/230 it is rated for

Hey Rich.

Hard to say from the description but older 3 wheel Harley Davidson golf cars had a two stroke engine that ran Backwards for reverse.

They had a heavy duty switch mounted on the wooden floor just ahead of the seats.
