|
|
Was hoping for some information the hydraulic filter on my 61 M5. From reading other posts, I think I have the Webster pump (mounted on back of tractor) and the filter is under the seat. I am servicing the system and wanting to replace the fluid/filter. The filter in it is a Wix 33110, as indicated in other posts. Wix describes this as a fuel filter so I am wondering if this is what is supposed to go in there. Also, the screen that surrounds the filter seems to be lined with a film, kind of like paper. I don"t know if this is build up or it is supposed to be that way and is a superfine mesh. Just wanting to service it right. Lastly, what fluid would you all recommend. Sorry for the long post. Thanks for any help. |

It has been several years since I changed the one in my 5 Star which would be the same as the early M5s. I think that filter crosses to a number of uses. The parts book lists just the screen and cartridge, so Im guessing it is just build up. You may have to soak it for a couple days to clean it out. I dont recall there being anything else around the screen. I do remember it was a little "difficult" to get it all assembled again. |
