Did you try adjusting the knurled nut on the transport valve? |

Whether the transport valve is screwed in or out, there is still some flow. It never shuts flow completely off- just restricts it. |

Are they stuck up or down? Do they move at all? Can you lift them by hand?
The internal hose could have been removed and plugged off.
After being unused, and stuck up, the arms could require some serious weight to get them down. |

I did some work on a D-17 one time, new owner bought it cheap at a sale as the lift, snap-coupler arms, wouldn't move. Had the valve removed and rebuilt per owner, put it back together and found out the previous owner had switched the oil lines around, flipped them back and it worked fine. |

When I first bought my D-17 didn"t know what I was doing. The lift was working before when I drove it then I got it home and it wasn"t Just bought it and was getting upset because it worked before. Thought the worst and figured I had to tear the tractor apart. By accident I moved the Traction Booster lever (the short lever over the throttle)from where it was without knowing and I could not move the lift arms. Started moving the levers and it worked Boy did I feel relieved. I tried duplicating the problem and it would do it again so I placed it all the way down and it works now. Maybe try moving yours I believe the D-14 has traction booster also. Hope it works for you. |
