I have a 1950 TO 30 Ferguson that is a back hoe. I need to change my front axle. I have a person local in Seattle area with a Ford model 2000 about a 1962 to 1965 he has a complete front axle. Would this work in my Ferguson? |

Without knowing for sure I would guess no. However you might find out what tractor you actually have to begin with as the TO 30 was not on the market until 1951. Even though the TO 20 1948-1951 and the TO 30 1951-1954 are very close you really need to know what year your Ferguson is. |

I doubt if it will work. The radius rod pins connect to the main axle on the ford and on your TO the pins connect to the axle knees which will change the lenght of the radius rods. I have an axle off a TO-30 out in the barn. If you are interest I can check condition. Email is open.
I don't know your location but these things are pretty heavy so it maybe best to find one local.

Serial 137976 Backhoe version. Is the Ford 8N or 9N the same?
Shows to be a 1954
Thanks- Steve |

The number you posted are for an 8n or 2n. The numbers weren't that high for the NAA 1954.The 2n should work but I don't think the 8n will.
Don't forget that Harry parted ways with Henry in '46 and the T0 was styled after the 2n with some improvements. So I would think the 9n and 2n axle should work. How did you go from a ford 2000 to an 8n/9n???

I found a Ford model 2000 that was going to be parted out. I was hoping it would work for a front axle swap. I herd the Ford 9N or 8N was the same or would swap over as a whole unit.I would be interested in a front axle from a TO 30.
Thanks for the help! Steve |
