I am looking at a 720 Diesel the guy said it just quit like he shut the switch off. He thinks it might be a injection problem, is there anything i could look for, any simple fixes. Thanks |

Maybe it ran out of fuel? Could be a blockage got in the sediment bowl even if the tank has fuel. But I doubt this would shut it off so quickly, it would probably slow down and die.
Another idea is the rack spring on the right hand side broke. The governor works against this spring and if it broke the governor would probably completely close the rack. |

First thing I'd recommend is checking fuel flow out of tank. I wonder how long since fuel filters were changed? |

How about that cam idler gear? After you check for fuel flow I'd check to see that the tappets were actually functioning. |
