The flat head six came in two sizes , 226 cid or 254 cid and look identical from the outside .
The early 226 had a front mount distributor and is generally not used in a Funk conversion . All of the 254's had a side mount distributor .
The 239 is a V8 . |

Is it complete and running ? I see them on ebay every once and a while , not a big demand but they always seem to sell .
A quick video of it running , even on the ground would double the price . I see cores go for about $250 and runners go for about $500 , all of the bolts ons ( carb , dizzy , pulley , fan , etc ) add a few bucks . |

The 1950 flathead six is a 226 CID,they went to side distributor in 1947. Ford v8 was 239 CID from 46 on. Merc was 255 CID. |
